TravelHero was born in 1995 as Aaron’s Hotel and Motel Directory, a Web-based lodging directory with the ultimate goal of developing the most complete lodging reservations system on the Internet. Ten years have been spent building our database content and establishing licensing agreements with the world’s leading central reservation systems for true real-time connectivity.

The "HotelHero" database rapidly grew to over 100,000 listings worldwide, however approximately two-thirds were independent properties without online capability. The company then made a commitment to develop an alternative system, which would provide online reservations for virtually any and all types of lodging — even those without a computer! TravelHero.com launched on June 16, 1999 as a full-service travel site with unmatched strength in lodging.

Today, TravelHero.com is a leading online technology company providing reservation solutions to over 100+ official tourism bureau, lodging association and destination websites. Products include a private-label booking engine, as well as packaging, ticketing, group housing and call center solutions.
